Assistant Practice Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a motivated person to assist, remotely with intake and billing tasks. Job duties would include the following:
- Follow up on referrals, and connect new clients with clinicians
- Complete verification of benefits for new clients
- Submit and follow claims through to payment
- Collaborate with Lead Practice Manager on tasks related to billing, client documentation and communication
- Communicate with clients about insurance benefits and payment issues
- Have an understanding of the unique needs of clients seeking mental health care, and engage with clients respectfully and compassionately
- Be able to work effectively with folks from a wide range of cultural identities
- Be a transparent communicator, able to ask for what you need and be accountable when mistakes are made (because we all make mistakes!)
- Be well organized, and able to adapt easily to new systems
Details
- Where: This is a remote position, with opportunities for in-person staff connection and development
- Who you'll work with: Our counselors, social workers, and nurse practitioners serve over 500 clients in NC
- What you'll earn: Starting at $22/hr, max $27/hour for fully credentialed biller and coder
- When: ASAP
- How many hours: Starting with 10-15 hours during training phase, up to 20 hours per week after training complete and competence demonstrated at all tasks.
