Moving with Mindfulness
Moving with Mindfulness is a VIRTUAL skills based group that will support children, ages 8-12, who experience anxiety. This group will help to teach children how to regulate their emotions through mindful movement!
At the end of every session, each child will bring home different skills to help re-center themselves. This toolkit is something that can be continued on after the group is over.

What Will We Be Doing?
Children will learn to identify their feelings and practice emotional-regulation through mindful movement.
Who Should Join?
Children, ages 8-12, who experience anxiety.
What if we can't attend all 6 sessions?
This is an open group, we hope that your child can attend at least 3 of the 6 sessions.
Group will meet every week for 6 weeks

Group Leader
Nikki Birkenstock (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Associate, certified Mind Body Wellness and Social Emotional Learning Coach, and currently pursuing a credential in Play Therapy. Nikki is passionate about working with children, teens and their families addressing a wide range of issues; such as anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues.
